Deniz Tunçalp is an Associate Professor of Management at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), where he specialises in management, organisations and entrepreneurship.  He is also the Deputy General Manager of ITU ARI Teknokent, ITU’s Science and Technology park, where he is running the entrepreneurship support activities including the best business incubator of Turkey, which is ranked as the 8th in Europe and 18th in the World. Together with these roles, he is a board member at ITU Ginova Entrepreneurship Research and Application Center. Dr. Tunçalp is also an editorial board member of the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Global Information Technology Management and Journal of Computer Information Systems journals.

He has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Industrial Engineering Department in Ankara. Dr. Tunçalp has also two M.S. degrees in Information Systems and Industrial Engineering, both from Middle East Technical University, and an M.A. degree in Law from İstanbul Bilgi University. Dr. Tunçalp has his Ph.D. from Sabanci University School of Management in Istanbul.

His research focuses on technology and organizations. He specifically studies social and material adaptation of organizations in relation to changes in different technology types. He also studies technology start-ups and incubation/acceleration models in entrepreneurship and focuses on advances in qualitative research methods.

Nazli WastiNazli Wasti

Nazli Wasti is a Professor at the Department of Business Administration at Middle East Technical University (METU). She is also presently serving as the local director of the METU Confucius Institute.

She received her B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from METU, Turkey, her M.S. degree in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Her research interests are interorganizational trust, innovation management, and buyer-supplier relations. She teaches courses on operations management, organization theory, supply chain management, and innovation management.




hilal terzi

Hilal Terzi
Hilal Terzi is working as a research assistant at the Department of Business Administration at METU. She is also social psychology doctorate student at the Department of Psychology at METU.

After her graduation (B.S. degree) from the Department of Business Administration at METU, she received her Social Psychology M.S. degree from the Department of Psychology at METU.

Her current research interests are interdependence among individuals, impact of time on relationships, and the role of break ups on individuals' well-being.

Kutay Güneştepe
Kutay Güneştepe is currently working at İTÜ ARI Teknokent as senior expert and responsible from marketing and business development. He is also Ph.D. candidate at İTÜ Faculty of Management, Management Engineering Department.

He received his B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Başkent University and M.S. degree in Medical Informatics from METU.

Kutay Güneştepe is currently researching institutional change, institutional entrepreneurship, and sociomateriality in health care organizations.








Scott AndrewsScott Andrews

Scott Andrews is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Business at the University of Worcester and the Strategic Lead for Work Based Learning at Worcester Business School. He has been working with the Case Centre for 20 years as a keen advocate of the case method and has delivered over 150 workshops in Business Schools and Management Centres across the world exploring good practices in the use of the case method to promote participant-centred learning.

He graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) and subsequently completed two Masters degrees at the University of Wales and a PhD at Bristol University.

He is currently researching the development of different ‘apprenticeship-style’ approaches to work based learning and exploring cross cultural issues in participant-centred learning.




Bas Koene

Bas Koene
Dr. Bas Koene is director of the RSM Case Development Centre and is engaged in research and teaching in the field of HR and Organization Development at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

He studies human agency and leadership in processes of institutional change and Organizational Development. He is specifically interested in the organization of work and the management of employment. Recent projects focus on the management & organization of non-standard employment, the relation between job quality and innovation (QuInnE project), participation and community (I-WIRE project) and on the role of HR in new ways of organizing work.

As director of the RSM Case Development Centre he has been building support for case development and case method innovation at RSM for over 5 years, strengthening the relevance of case studies as tools for research valorization and learning.

He is member of the American Academy of Management (AoM), the European Group for Organization Studies (EGOS) and the Society for the Advancement of Socio-economics (SASE). Before joining RSM he worked as a management consultant and at the Business School of the University of Maastricht. He has published in journals such as Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management Journal, Journal of Organizational Change Management, Personnel Review and Human Relations.

Tao Yue
Tao Yue

Tao Yue is currently the Managing Editor and Senior Case Writer at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) Case Development Centre, Erasmus University.

She received her B.A. degree in English Language and Literature from Fudan University, China, and her M.A. degree in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Her research interests are case methods based learning and new ways of learning such as multimedia cases. She regularly teaches case writing workshops.
